Andrew Lawry
B. AppSc. (Met), Member AusIMM
Chief Operating Officer

 
  Andrew Lawry is a mining professional with over 26 years of experience in a range of companies including mine operators (Polymetals and Newcrest), engineering (Bateman), services (Normet) and as a consultant. Andrew’s career includes senior roles in a range of mineral processing fields encompassing operations and project management, project and process engineering, process metallurgy, plant operations and commissioning.

Andrew joined Polymetals in 2001 and had conducted contract assignments from 1998. Andrew was appointed Managing Director of Polymetals in 2008 and has now taken the role of Chief Operating Officer with the Company. Andrew has been instrumental in the success of the Company, filling the Project Manager role during construction and start-up of Mt Boppy (2001), Nimbus (2003), Hellyer (2006) and White Dam (2009).

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Metallurgy) degree from the SA Institute of Technology (now University of SA), and is a member of AusIMM and AICD.

  David Kinsman brings to Polymetals a wealth of management and commercial expertise gathered from several local and international companies across a range of industries.

A chartered accountant for over 20 years, David brings valuable public company experience in the small-cap resources sector, most recently having served as both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Innamincka Petroleum Limited. During this period, under David’s leadership, the Company was involved in numerous capital raising and merger and acquisition activities. David joined Polymetals in January 2011.

During his career, David has gained both exploration and development experience in the resources sector within Australia and New Guinea, having previously held positions working for Chevron, Santos and MIM Petroleum Exploration.

David has also held various senior financial and commercial roles with Boeing in the Defence industry.


   
Graham Folland  B.App.Sc (Ext Met), MMEE
Executive General Manager - Business Development
 

Graham has over 30 years experience in metallurgical, project and corporate development roles in the gold mining industry and joined Polymetals in August 2011.

Previously Executive General Manager, Corporate Development at Lihir Gold Limited, and General Manager, Corporate and Project Development at Placer Dome Australia Limited, Graham's experience includes various roles in feasibility study development, construction, operation and management of mining projects, and acquisition evaluation and execution. At Lihir Gold Limited he was responsile for the feasibility studies into and execution of the $1Bn upgrade of the Lihir processing facility.

He has facilitated various mergers and acquisitions, the most recent being the merger of Lihir Gold Limited with Equigold NL.

He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Ext Met) from the WA School of Mines and a Masters in Mineral and Energy Economics from Macquarie University, and is a Member of the AusIMM.

   


John Gallo

Group Geologist

 

John Gallo has 40 years of experience as a geologist. He has accumulated considerable experience in line and strategic management, primarily with the Placer group of companies. He has managed multidisciplinary teams in metalliferous grassroots and mine site exploration for large and small companies throughout Australia and offshore.

John has participated in the exploration and development of major gold mines in Australia (Kidston, Mt Leyshon) executed the roles of Exploration Manager with Pan Australian Mining and Technical Director at Strike Mining NL.

More recently, John has provided technical, managerial and project evaluation consulting services to the mining and exploration industry and continues to play an active role in mineral exploration and development in Australia and overseas.

John’s experience, strengths and preferences promote his role in exploration management and target generation, project evaluation and review, and problem-solving which adds strength and depth to the Polymetals team.

John’s technical qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Geology and Mineralogy) from the University of Queensland conferred in 1968 and a Master of Science in Mining and Exploration Geology from the James Cook University conferred in 1977. John is a Fellow and Chartered Professional (Geology) of the AusIMM.
